2024

People's Association Community Spirit Award 2024

The People’s Association Community Spirit (PACS) Award is given to exemplary partners who have assisted in building social capital and contributed to the community.

TOUCH received the PACS 2024 Merit Award, in recognition of our contributions to the Braddell Heights Division through TOUCH Young Arrows, which has helped to nurture children from lower-income families through weekly programmes consisting of academic coaching and values-driven activities.

Digital For Life (DfL) Catalyst Award 2024

The Digital For Life Awards by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) aims to recognise partners who are committed to empowering Singaporeans to navigate the online space safely and have made significant and diverse contributions to the Digital For Life movement.

TOUCH was honoured to receive the Digital For Life Catalyst award, for our efforts in equipping parents and educators on navigating the digital world with their children through the ‘First Device Campaign’. The First Device Campaign focuses on equipping parents with skills and resources to safely introduce digital devices to their children.

MSF Community Cares Award 2024

The MSF Community Cares Award recognises volunteers and partners who have contributed towards the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)’s programmes, projects or causes. 
 
TOUCH Young Arrows (TYA) has partnered the Social Service Office (SSO) @ Sengkang, Serangoon and Hougang since 2022 to actively address the digital divide in low-income families and empower them with skills to navigate the digital space through Digitally Ready Families. The programme, with modules designed by TOUCH Cyber Wellness and TOUCH Parenting, focuses on parent-child communication with regard to good management of the child’s device use. Through home visits, group work sessions and bridging to other resources, TYA aims to increase parenting confidence and competencies of low-income families.
 
TYA was a recipient of the MSF Community Cares Award 2024. 

2023

IPRS PRISM Awards 2023

The PRISM Awards by the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS) recognises industry-leading organisations and practitioners for excellence in communications practice.

The ‘Everyone Can Be Someone’ Campaign won the Distinction award for Outstanding Campaign by a Non-Governmental Organisation or Not-for-Profit Organisation. First launched in 2021, this campaign aims to be a catalyst for a community which progresses together, where each person is empowered and valued and where everyone, no matter their background or circumstance, can be someone.


Charity Transparency and Governance Awards 2023

TOUCH Family Services Ltd was awarded the Charity Governance Award (CGA) and Charity Transparency Award (CTA) 2023 by the Charity Council for good transparency standards.

The CGA is the highest honour for charities that have adopted the best standards of governance and affirms our commitment to upholding transparency and building public trust in the sector.

The two awards aim to promote good governance in the charity sector by acknowledging the excellent work of charities, while inspiring others to emulate their best practices.


Singapore Patient Action Awards 2023

The Singapore Patient Action Awards (SPAA) by Tan Tock Seng Hospital recognises and honours exceptional individuals and groups for their outstanding contributions to the community. These awardees epitomise qualities of compassion, empathy, resilience, and a generous spirit.

In 2023, TOUCH’s Seniors Caring for Seniors (SCS) Programme was honoured at the SPAA under the Singapore Patient Support Group / Volunteer Group Award category. This award recognises SCS’s proactive approach to health, leveraging peer influence to inspire and equip seniors with essential healthcare and preventive knowledge to care for themselves and others effectively.


Healthcare Humanity Awards 2023

The Healthcare Humanity Awards honour outstanding healthcare workers who are inspirational role models and have contributed greatly to the fight against COVID-19. Recipients have displayed altruism and gone above and beyond their call of duty in helping those in need.

Ms Tracy Lee, Senior Officer from TOUCHpoint@AMK433 and Ms Han Ee Loo, Home Care Assistant from TOUCH Home Care, are recipients of the Healthcare Humanity Award 2023.

The Enabling Mark Awards 2023

The Enabling Mark is a national-level accreditation framework by SG Enable that benchmarks and recognises organisations for their best practices and outcomes in disability-inclusive employment. TOUCH was honoured with the Enabling Mark (Gold) at the Enabling Mark Awards Ceremony 2023.

JOURNEY, a brand by TOUCH, also received the Enabling Innovation Award, which recognises committed employers who have put in place new projects, ideas or innovation in the organisation to improve the employment, employability or productivity of persons with disabilities.

Ms Tan Wei Ling, Lifeskills Coach, TOUCH Centre for Independent Living, was also the recipient of the Exemplary Employee Award which recognises employees with disabilities who have made commendable efforts and contributions to the workplace.

At TOUCH, we are committed to enabling our staff to realise their potential and recognising their unique contributions. This inclusive approach to staff in our employment and the clients that we serve has enabled us to transform them into valuable resources for the community.


MSF Outstanding Volunteer Award 2023

The MSF Outstanding Volunteer Award recognises individuals or groups of volunteers who have contributed significantly to various groups served by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).

The recipients are distinguished by their significant contributions in terms of the amount of time and effort spent on voluntary services. They relate well with the persons whom they are assisting and have made special contributions towards the success of specific programmes or projects. Above all, they possess qualities which make them exemplary.

Ms Julia Lee, Senior Director of TOUCH Professional Deputies & Donees, was a recipient of the MSF Outstanding Volunteer Award 2023.

2022

National Awards (COVID-19) 2022

The 2022 National Awards (COVID-19) recognise individuals and teams who have made outstanding contributions to Singapore’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. About 9,500 individuals and 480 teams received the awards in 9 categories.

TOUCH is honoured to receive the President’s Certificate of Commendation (COVID-19).

Promising Social Worker Award 2022

The Promising Social Worker Award (PSWA) by the Singapore Association of Social Workers recognises newer social workers who have made a difference in the lives of their clients and the community. This award, which is supported by the Ministry of Social and Family Development and ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, also affirms social workers who are innovative and engaged in continual professional and leadership development.

Ms Peggy Lim, Senior Social Worker, TOUCH Mental Wellness, was a recipient of PSWA 2022.

Wofoo Asian Award 2022

TOUCH was honoured with 2 Outstanding Awards at the Wofoo Asian Award for Advancing Family Well-Being (3A Project) 2022. The winning programmes are Digitally Ready Families (DRF), a programme by TOUCH Cyber Wellness and TOUCH Young Arrows, and Do You M.I.N.D.?, a school-based mental health literacy programme by TOUCH Mental Wellness.

The award, by the Consortium of Institutes on Family in the Asian Region (CiFA), recognises the effectiveness of DRF in equipping vulnerable families with skills to use basic digital platforms and cyber wellness resources, and the innovative approaches utilised by Do You M.I.N.D.? in imparting healthy coping strategies and promoting awareness of mental health resources.

DRF also received the 'Bringing Hope Home Award' for its efforts to enhance resilience and bring hope to families in coping with challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Charity Transparency Awards 2022

TOUCH Community Services and TOUCH Family Services were awarded the 2022 Charity Transparency Award (CTA) by the Charity Council for good transparency standards. The award aims to promote good transparency and governance in the charity sector by acknowledging the excellent work of charities, while inspiring others to emulate best practices.

The win affirms our commitment to upholding a high standard of transparency and governance, and in building strong relationships and trust with our stakeholders. The CTA was resumed in 2022 after a hiatus of 2 years.

Ageing Asia Eldercare Innovation Awards 2022

TOUCH was one of the finalists for the Ageing Asia Eldercare Innovation Awards 2022 (Innovation of the Year - Social Engagement Programme) for the Seniors Caring for Seniors Project.

This award recognises the best of Asia Pacific's care organisations that have gone the extra mile to improve health, quality of life and independence of seniors.

2021

Kincentric Best Employers Awards 2021

The Kincentric Best Employers Singapore programme celebrates workplace excellence by measuring and recognising leading employers that continuously spark change, inspire their people and accelerate business success.

TOUCH received the Special Recognition Award (Social Service Sector) for our efforts at developing human capital, attracting talent, and igniting sustainable change through innovation.

Singapore Patient Action Awards 2021

The Singapore Patient Action Awards (SPAA) by Tan Tock Seng Hospital recognises and honours ordinary individuals and groups who have displayed exemplary qualities of care, courage, empathy, resilience and generosity of spirit, to make a positive difference to healthcare.

In 2021, the work of Neighbourhood Care Networks at TOUCHpoint@AMK 433 was recognised at the SPAA under the Singapore Community Engagement Initiative Award, one of the award categories. This award honours the work of successful neighbourhood-based initiatives that have contributed significantly to the improvement of care and overall well-being of residents and the local community.


Enabling Mark Awards 2021

TOUCH was awarded the Enabling Mark (Silver) at the Enabling Mark Awards Ceremony 2021.

Nurses Merit Award 2021

The Nurses Merit Award (NMA) by the Ministry of Health is awarded to nurses who have displayed noteworthy and exceptional performance, participated in professional development, and contributed to elevating the nursing profession. 

Ms Ong Wee Ying, Senior Staff Nurse, TOUCH Home Care, was a recipient of the NMA 2021. 
2020

Wofoo Asian Award 2020

TOUCH Mental Wellness was honoured with the Outstanding Award at the Wofoo Asian Award for Advancing Family Well-Being (3A Project) 2020 for Upper Room, a mental health intervention programme for youths facing mental health issues. The programme is aimed at improving their emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and resilience. This award, by CiFA – Consortium of Institutes on Family in the Asian Region, recognises the Upper Room’s innovative contributions to strengthening family well-being through working with youths and their families on mental health issues.


Healthcare Humanity Awards

Four staff from TOUCH Community Services were recipients of the Healthcare Humanity Award (Intermediate and Long-Term Care category). The national award recognises outstanding and inspirational healthcare workers who have displayed altruism above and beyond their call of duty.

The recipients are Ms Andes Poh (Community Nurse, TOUCH Home Care), Mdm Tracy Lee (Senior Officer, Community Befriending Programme, TOUCH Caregivers Support), Ms Lee Guek Meng (Senior Lifeskills Coach, TOUCH Ubi Hostel) and Ms Liong Suet Lian (Social Worker, TOUCH Cluster Support).

Community Care Excellence Award

The Community Care Excellence Awards by the Agency for Integrated Care aim to recognise the contributions of individuals and project teams who have demonstrated exemplary service and commitment in delivering quality care to their clients in the Community Care sector.

TOUCH received the Merit Team Award (Client Experience Improvement) for the Community Enablement Project.

Ageing Asia Eldercare Innovation Awards 2020

TOUCH was one of the finalists for the Ageing Asia Eldercare Innovation Awards 2020 (Innovative Community Care Model) for the Community Enablement Project This award recognises the best of Asia Pacific’s care organisations that have gone the extra mile to improve health, quality of life and independence for seniors.

2019

Charity Transparency Awards 2019

TOUCH Community Services and TOUCH Family Services were awarded the 2019 Charity Transparency Awards by the Charity Council for exemplary disclosure practices. This marks the fourth consecutive year that TOUCH has won the award since the inaugural awards in 2016.

The win affirms our commitment to upholding a high standard of transparency and governance, and in building strong relationships and trust with our stakeholders.

Four staff from TOUCH Community Services were recipients of the Healthcare Humanity Award (Intermediate and Long-Term Care category). The national award recognises outstanding and inspirational healthcare workers who have displayed altruism above and beyond their call of duty.

The recipients are Ms Yong Yin Hoong (Assistant Manager, TOUCH Senior Activity Centre [Geylang Bahru]), Ms Loh Sau Kuen (Senior Art Facilitator, TOUCH SpecialCrafts, TOUCH Centre for Independent Living), Ms Vivian Lim (Senior Physiotherapist, TOUCH Home Care), and Ms Goh Siew Choo (Logistic Coordinator, TOUCH Home Care).

Ms Yong Yin Hoong also received the Honourable Mention, the highest accolade given out at the award ceremony.
2018

For the third consecutive year since the inaugural Charity Transparency Awards in 2016, TOUCH Community Services and TOUCH Family Services were awarded the Charity Transparency Awards by the Charity Council for exemplary disclosure practices.

The win affirms our commitment to pursuing excellence in transparency and governance, and building strong relationships with our stakeholders.

Healthcare Humanity Award

Two staff - Ms Audrey Tan Hong Noi (Therapy Assistant, TOUCH Home Care) and Ms Josephine Koh Soo Kim (Nursing Manager, TOUCH Home Care) received this national award (Intermediate and Long-Term Care Category) given to outstanding and inspirational healthcare workers who have displayed altruism above and beyond their call of duty.

TOUCH Caregivers Support client Mdm Lily Tan Geok Lan received the Healthcare Humanity Award (Caregiver category) for outstanding care for her husband.

Two of these award recipients, Ms Audrey Tan and Mdm Lily Tan, received the Honourable Mention, the highest accolade given out at the award ceremony.

Sitefinity Website of the Year (Non-Profit Category)

TOUCH Community Services is the winner in the non-profit category of the Progress Sitefinity 2017 Website of the Year Awards.

Since its inception in 2011, the Sitefinity Website of the Year Awards have recognised websites powered by Progress Sitefinity for creativity, design, user experience, functionality and overall website presentation.

Six months post launch, TOUCH’s website had increased online donations by 15%, online donors by 145%, and experienced a 77% productivity increase in processing volunteer sign-ups.

The Singapore HR Awards 2018 - Leading HR Practices (Special Mention) in Fair & Inclusive Employment Practices

TOUCH Community Services was awarded the Leading HR Practices (Special Mention) in Fair & Inclusive Employment Practices at the 2018 Singapore HR Awards.

The award highlights good practices in supporting fair employment, such as providing employees with equal opportunities for training and development, adopting merit-based recruitment, and fair remuneration. The award also recognises inclusive employers who lead the way in providing opportunities for employment for vulnerable groups.

TOUCH values every staff and believes in enabling them to grow in their potential and in their jobs. Putting in place fair and inclusive human resource practices has enabled TOUCH to establish a people-focused culture that forms the foundation of the team.   

2017

Charity Transparency Awards 2017

For the second year since the inaugural Charity Transparency Awards, TOUCH Community Services, TOUCH Family Services and TOUCH International were awarded the Charity Transparency Awards by the Charity Council for its exemplary disclosure practices. 

Charity Governance Awards 2017 (Special Commendation for Clarity of Strategy)

TOUCH Community Services was conferred the Charity Governance Award (Special Commendation for Clarity of Strategy). As a multi-service IPC with 25 years of service, TOUCH is committed to the continuous journey of governance excellence, and strives to be continually relevant in making real social impact and community transformation, aligned to its vision.

Healthcare Humanity Award

Four staff from TOUCH Community Services - Ms Jacinda Soh (Senior Occupational Therapist), Ms Rachel Lim (Senior Occupational Therapist), Ms Rachel Sim (Home Care Executive) and Ms Jeni Seetoh (Case Manager, Department of Social Work) - were recipients of this national award (ILTC category) given to outstanding and inspirational healthcare workers who have gone beyond their call of duty to care for frail seniors and people with cancer.

TOUCH Home Care client Mdm Ong Siew Lay received the Healthcare Humanity Award (Caregiver category) for her outstanding devotion in caring for her husband.

Best Home Care Operator Award

TOUCH Home Care clinched the Best Home Care Operator Award at the 5th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards Ceremony for its excellent efforts in providing the best health and social services to support ageing-in-place. This award recognises the best of Asia Pacific’s care organisations that have gone the extra mile to improve health, quality of life and independence for seniors.

Singapore Health Quality Service Award

Mrs Julie Seow, Diabetes Life Coach at TOUCH Diabetes Support, was a recipient of the Superstar Award (ILTC Administration Category) at the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards 2017, organised by the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. Julie was honoured for her work and commitment to better the lives of people with diabetes through community support. The Singapore Health Quality Service Award is Singapore’s first dedicated platform to honour healthcare professionals who have delivered quality care and excellent service to patients.

 
2016

Wofoo Asian Award

TOUCH Cyber Wellness (TCW) was honoured at the Wofoo Asian Award for Advancing Family Well-Being held on 4 November 2016 in Seoul, South Korea. The award, by CiFA – Consortium of Institutes on Family in the Asian Region, recognises the efforts of organisations, agencies and community partners that impact families in Asia. TCW was one of the 36 teams from six countries that went through several rounds of judging before its Cyber Wellness Family Support Programme was finally shortlisted and won the Silver Award. The programme also received My Favourite Project accolade, as voted by delegates attending the symposium.

Charity Transparency Award

Transparency and good governance help organisations to build strong relationships with their stakeholders. TOUCH Community Services, TOUCH Family Services and TOUCH International were awarded the inaugural Charity Transparency Awards by the Charity Council for its exemplary disclosure practices. TOUCH is committed to the continuous journey of governance excellence. 

Intermediate and Long-Term Care (ILTC) Excellence Award

TOUCH Senior Activity Centre (TSAC) was conferred the Service Quality Improvement Award in recognition of its Seniors Caring for Seniors programme which has empowered 57 active clients to step out and become elderly befrienders. TSAC Assistant Manager, Yong Yin Hoong, was also honoured at the award ceremony with the individual Silver Award for Service Quality for her contributions in serving the clients of TSAC.

Healthcare Humanity Award

TOUCH Senior Activity Centre's Programme Executives, Mr Richard Chia and Mr James Lee, were a recipient of this national award given to outstanding and inspirational healthcare workers who go the extra mile to care for the sick and infirmed. Since 2007, seven of TOUCH Community Services' staff have received this award.

Country Partner

Global Youth Service Day: TOUCH Community Services, led by TOUCH Leadership and Mentoring, was reappointed Country Partner for this worldwide movement by Youth Service America that celebrates and mobilises children and youths around the world to improve their communities through service and Service-Learning.
2014

Outstanding Social Worker Award

Ms Julia Lee, Director of TOUCH Seniors Activity Centre was a recipient of the Outstanding Social Worker Award 2014 – the highest accolade given to social workers in Singapore – organised by the Singapore Association of Social Workers and supported by the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

Good Practice Award

TOUCH Caregivers Support was recognised for its productivity and innovation as part of the Intermediate and Long-Term Care (ILTC) Awards organised by the Agency for Integrated Care.

Healthcare Humanity Award

TOUCH Home Care’s Senior Occupational Therapist, Sandy Goh, was a recipient of this national award given to outstanding and inspirational healthcare workers who go the extra mile to care for the sick and infirmed. Since 2007, five of THC’s staff have received this award.

Country Partner

Global Youth Service Day: TOUCH Community Services, led by TOUCH Leadership and Mentoring, was appointed Country Partner for this worldwide movement by Youth Service America that celebrates and mobilises children and youths around the world to improve their communities through service and Service-Learning. 
2011

Singapore Youth Award

TOUCH Cyber Wellness, a service of TOUCH Youth, was awarded the nation's highest youth accolade under the Community & Youth Services Team Category, in recognition of its commitment in encouraging holistic youth development through promoting cyber wellness, healthy gaming and online safety. The Award was presented by Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for National Security & Minister for Home Affairs at the Istana.

Centre of Specialisation Certification

TOUCH Senior Activity Centre was appointed by the National Council of Social Service as a Centre of Specialisation with the aim of transferring its knowledge and expertise to other voluntary welfare organisations in the eldercare sector. This partnership seeks to further enhance service delivery standards and competencies, which will ensure greater effectiveness and utilisation of resources. 

Singapore Prestige Brand Award

TOUCH Community Services is a winner of the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) 2011 - Special Merit (not-for-profit organisations), in recognition of its effective brand management and branding initiatives. Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance and Manpower, was the Guest-of-Honour at the prestigious award ceremony.

Outstanding Non-profit Organisation Award

TOUCH was the winner in this category of the National Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards, which recognises best practices in the management of volunteers and donors (including fundraising practices) in non-profit organisations. 
2006

Work-Life Achiever Award

TOUCH was a winner in this category, organised by the Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy which includes the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports. 
2005

PBM

Mr Eugene Seow, Executive Director of TOUCH Community Services, was conferred the public service medal in recognition of the role of TOUCH in the tsunami relief efforts.

National Volunteerism Awards

One of two Merit winners of “Best Volunteer Management Award” by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre.
