Quality learning for
every child
At TOUCH Early Childhood Intervention, we aim to provide targeted and affordable early intervention for mainstream K1 and K2 children with no diagnosis of developmental delays or attend EIPIC programme, so that they stand the best chance to improve their developmental progress before they are ready to be placed in mainstream primary schools.
TOUCH has staff who are certified to conduct the Development Support (DS) and Learning Support (LS) programmes. Under close supervision by pre-school teachers, children who have been identified as requiring help will be placed in the programme where their developmental and learning needs will be looked into.
Optimising Learning
The Development Support (DS) and Learning Support (LS) programmes support pre-schoolers with mild developmental and learning needs.
- Enable parents and teachers to recognise developmental/learning needs timely, and provide relevant information, intervention and support for a child and family.
- Provide targeted short-term interventions via our trained Learning Support Educators, clinical professionals and therapists to equip children with skills to optimise learning in pre-school.
Developmental Focus
When identified, a child with mild developmental/learning needs will be assessed by Learning Support Educators and offered either a DS or LS package.
The package will focus on the following areas of development:
- Attention and behaviour
- Fine motor and handwriting skills
- Gross motor skills
- Language development
- Literacy development
- Social-emotional skills
- Speech development
